The Project
In collaboration with Fandom and the Food and Drug Administration, Cognition crafted a unique activation at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Attendees exploring the Petco Interactive Zone encountered “Attack of the Metallic Menace,” a towering ten-foot metal monster designed to raise awareness about the hazards of youth vaping, as part of the FDA’s nationwide awareness campaign. Drawing inspiration from iconic Kaiju films like Godzilla vs. the Smog Monster, this installation not only provided an exceptional photo backdrop but also delivered several augmented reality encounters that animated the monster into life through Instagram.
